Summer 2011

We have had an awesome and busy summer over here. We have seen lots of family, spent lots of time in the sun, and had lots of fun! We bought a zoo membership at the beginning of summer and have made lots of visits, including taking Benji's cousins a few times, we took Hakeai in between wedding activites once, and spent an evening with Maddy, Caden, and Jackson there too. We also went camping, boating, had lots of bbqs, and two weeks ago we took a trip up to visit Great Nana and Papa Overton in Idaho. We all had a blast spending time with Nana and Papa.

We got in late Friday night, then Saturday morning we went to the Idaho Fair. We sweated like crazy and visited a petting zoo there, had lemonades, burgers, corndogs and funnel cakes, then we came home and took naps, and I mean ALL of us. Then in the evening we visited a park and Mitch did some pond fishing...sort of. He got one nibble but did not catch a single fish.
The next morning we went to Zoo Boise then had a picnic lunch in the park. Grandpa and Mitch talked about ice cream all morning, so on the way back to the house for our naps, we stopped and got some shakes and a little ice cream shop in the city. That evening we went and visited with  my uncle David and aunt Kristi and my cousins.
My grandparents have two little toy poodles, and I wish I had taken a picture of Benji with them, but sadly, I did not. Benji was afraid of them for the first day, then after that he was chasing them around laughing. It was super cute. He had an awesome time and talked about it for days after we got home. We packed a lot into one weekend but man was it worth it! Here are some pics of our time spent in Idaho.

Benji's dream plaything, his favorite animal and a huge slide in one!

We could not get him off this thing!
